Guyra Town Entrance Signs

One of the first priorities identified by the Guyra & Community Progress Association was improving the entrances to Guyra.
Completed in July 2023, the project created new stone entrance signs on the eastern and western approaches to town. The existing signs at the northern and southern entrances were also improved with new stone bases.
The stonework was completed by Guyra stonemasons Paul and Ben Kirk, using natural materials that complement the character of the local area. Solar lighting was installed by local electricians Hoffman Electrical, allowing the four signs to welcome travellers during the day and at night.
The project was part of the Association’s wider Building a Vibrant Guyra initiative. It was supported by funding from the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund, with assistance from Ladybug Projects and support from Armidale Regional Council.
These new gateways provide a welcoming first impression, strengthen pride in our town and encourage travellers to stop and discover more of what Guyra has to offer.
